It's late and Landon is still awake. Pretty much a regular occurence at our house. However, tonight has been a very memorable one for Derick and I. As I am typing, Derick and Landon are still in his room having "story time". We asked Landon to tell us a story, not having any idea what he would do or say. This is one of the stories he told us:
One time there was a triangle guy (while making a triangle with his fingers) walking on the street and there was a BIG monster there who was flying, flying like this....(making noises while waving hands in air over and over). There was a kid who was flying around too. You know what his name was? Landon. His name was Landon. (then Derick asked if it was a superhero Landon) No, I am not a superhero silly! I am Landon.
The 2nd story he told us was creative and imaginative, but also very sweet. Here it is:
One time there was a kid who had a toy. There were lots of toys and they were flying and flying. The kid couldn't reach all his toys so he was jumping. The kid was bleeding a lot on his head. He was jumping and jumping, like this(as he got up and started jumping up and down on his bed) and the toys came down and landed on his head and he was bleeding a lot on his head. I helped him and took him to the doctor and he got stitches on his head. He was jumping and jumping (again, getting up and jumping to show us what it was like). The toy box was there and he opened it and there was only one toy. Just one toy in the toy box. Tjerdan was over there by this toy box (pointing to his toy box next to his bed). (Tjerdan is his friend)
He said all of this without us saying a word.
What a night. What a story. What a kid.
